You should hold a valid driving license. If you have a driving license from India, Pakistan, Philippines, Brazil, Russia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Uganda or Zimbabwe, you will be eligible to take a golden chance. Total cost of golden chance driving license in Abu Dhabi will range from AED 2500 to AED 3000. Holder of Dubai visa can apply for Abu Dhabi driving license golden chance if his sponsoring company has a branch in Abu Dhabi under the same name or if he has an attested tenancy contract (TAWTHEEQ) in Abu Dhabi. Golden Chance driving license in Abu Dhabi Step by Step
1. The first step is to do the eye test at any approved shop. You can visit the nearest shop to you with your Emirates ID. It will cost you AED 100. The optician shop will upload the result to the traffic system.
2. Get legal translation of your driving license with us. We will do the Arabic translation and submit the application to the traffic system. You will receive approval message from the traffic department. Documents required: Emirates ID, your original driving license and one photograph. If you are on Dubai visa, you need to submit a copy of the commercial license of your company in Abu Dhabi or an attested tenancy contract. 3. Open the driving file through TAMM application. It will cost you AED 200 if you do by yourself or AED 250 if you do through us (AED 200 for traffic+ AED 50 our charges).
4. Book the theory classes through Emirates driving company website (AED 1243).
5. Book a date for your driving test through TAMM application and get a training certificate. These other fees will be around AED 1000 as it includes exam fees and driving license issuing fees.
6. You will obtain your license if you pass the direct test.
Driving License Conversion
If you have a driving license from UK, USA, Germany, Austria, Spain, Serbia, Ukaine, Italy, Romia, Turkey, New Zealand, Ireland, Switzerland, Hong Kong, South Africa, Canada, Australia or from any of the 44 countries eligible for a driving license conversion in Abu Dhabi and you need to convert your foreign driving license in UAE, the first step is to do an eye test at any approved shop then you can head to our office with the original license, UAE ID and one photograph. If you do not have a foreign driving license and you hold a valid residency visa in Abu Dhabi and need to get a driving license in Abu Dhabi, you can do the eye test at an approved optician shop then you can visit our office with your Emirates ID, Passport and one photograph. We will open you a driving file and complete all the process so that you can apply for the theory classes and then the practical classes with Emirates driving company. You will obtain a road training permit. It is valid for 4 months. It will cost you around AED 115. After passing all the theory and practical classes, you can set a date for a driving test. The total cost will be around AED 7000 if you do not have a driving license from your home country. You will pay AED 1243 for the theory classes and around AED 4000 for the practical classes inside driving school. In addition, you will pay for your road trainer. They charge around AED 65/ Hour. You can take from 10 to 20 hours till you feel that you are ready to pass the driving test. You will receive a message from traffic of your result based on how your test went. If you pass your driving test, you will get your UAE driving license. If you fail, you will need to take some classes and apply again. You may also need to renew you driving file by taking one more eye test as it is valid for 6 months only.
